About the Event
Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University is proud to organize “Guru Gaurav Samman 2026” on 5th September 2026, commemorating Teachers’ Day and celebrating the invaluable contribution of teachers towards education, research, innovation, mentorship, and nation-building.
Continuing the tradition of recognizing academic excellence initiated in previous years, Guru Gaurav Samman 2026 will honour distinguished faculty members for their exceptional contributions and achievements. The felicitation will include various categories such as Best Teacher, Best Researcher, Best Extension & Community Engagement Faculty, and other distinguished categories identified by the University.
The awards aim to appreciate faculty members who demonstrate excellence in teaching-learning practices, research and publications, student mentoring, academic administration, innovation, institutional development, and meaningful social engagement. The recognition will also encourage faculty members to continuously strive for excellence and contribute towards the University's vision and academic growth.
Guru Gaurav Samman is envisioned not merely as an award ceremony but as a celebration of the Guru–Shishya tradition, acknowledging the dedication, commitment, and inspiration that teachers bring to the lives of their students. The occasion will bring together faculty members, university leadership, students, and distinguished guests to celebrate the spirit of teaching and learning.
Through this annual celebration, DBUU reaffirms its commitment to recognizing excellence, inspiring educators, and strengthening a culture of academic achievement and continuous improvement.
Aim of the Event
- To recognize and felicitate excellence in teaching, research, mentoring, innovation, leadership, and other significant contributions made by faculty members.
- To appreciate dedicated educators for their commitment towards student learning, holistic development, academic growth, and institutional excellence.
- To motivate faculty members to continuously enhance their teaching practices, research contributions, innovation, professional development, and engagement with society and industry.
- To promote a culture of recognition and healthy excellence by providing fair and transparent opportunities for faculty members from different schools and academic disciplines to be acknowledged for their achievements.
- To strengthen the bond between faculty and the university community by celebrating teachers on Teachers’ Day and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to quality education, academic excellence, and nation-building.
