64th National Pharmacy Week (NPW)

The 64th National Pharmacy Week (NPW) was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the School of Pharmacy and Research under the theme “Pharmacist: A Healthcare Professional – A Bridge Between Physician and Patient.” The event aimed to highlight the vital role of pharmacists in ensuring safe, effective, and rational use of medicines while promoting awareness about their contributions to public health.

The week-long celebration included a series of academic, cultural, and awareness-based activities. The inaugural ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, faculty members, and students, where the importance of pharmacists in healthcare delivery was emphasized. Expert talks were organized on emerging topics such as drug safety, pharmacovigilance, clinical research, and the role of artificial intelligence in pharmacy practice.

Interactive sessions, poster presentations, model-making competitions, and quizzes were conducted to encourage student participation and showcase their knowledge and creativity. A health awareness rally was also organized to educate the public on the proper use of medicines, antibiotic resistance, and the importance of consulting qualified pharmacists.

Students from B. Pharm, M. Pharm, and Pharm. D actively participated, demonstrating excellent teamwork and professional spirit. The celebration served as a platform for students to understand their responsibilities as future healthcare professionals and to foster a sense of pride in the pharmacy profession.

The valedictory session concluded with the distribution of prizes and certificates to winners and participants, along with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the organizing committee, faculty, and students.

Overall, the 64th National Pharmacy Week was a grand success, inspiring the students to uphold the values of the pharmacy profession and contribute effectively to society’s health and well-being.
