The 66th Annual International Conference & Research Conclave of the Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI), hosted by Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU), Dehradun, will be held from 12th to 15th November 2025. Themed “Next Gen Microbiology Education, Innovation and Research for Economy, Energy & Environment,” this prestigious event will bring together scientists, researchers, educators, and industry professionals from around the world to explore the transformative potential of microbiology in addressing pressing global challenges.
As the boundaries between traditional disciplines blur, this conference emphasizes the importance of integrated and interdisciplinary approaches in solving issues related to health, environment, and sustainable development. It envisions microbiology as a central pillar in fostering innovation for economic growth, energy security, and environmental preservation. By highlighting the synergy between microbial sciences and technological advancements, the conclave aims to redefine the future of microbiology education and research in India and beyond.
The four-day event will feature a vibrant mix of interactive sessions and scientific engagements. The “Microbe Spotlight” will showcase innovative posters, prototypes, and research breakthroughs by emerging researchers. The “Circle of Science” will foster collaborative dialogues on microbiology education, the National Education Policy (NEP), and related themes. The “Micro Pitch” segment will provide a platform for students and startups to present translational ideas, while “Bench to Business” will discuss intellectual property, licensing, and commercialization pathways.
Additionally, “MicroTalks” and “10X Talks” will feature distinguished experts and thought leaders sharing insights on cutting-edge research and disruptive innovations. Informal mentoring sessions under “IdeaBrew: Science Over Coffee” will encourage dialogue between young scientists and mentors. The event will culminate with “Microbial Futures: Plenary Dialogues,” offering visionary perspectives from global leaders in microbiology. Together, these sessions will make the 66th AMI Conference a cornerstone event for advancing microbiological science and innovation.
