Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, through its NSS Cell, is organising a 7‑Day Special Camp for all NSS volunteers from 17th to 23rd March 2026 at Panchayat Bhavan Naugaun Manduwala, Dehradun . Rooted in the NSS motto “Not Me But You”, the camp aims to blend community service with personality development by engaging students in structured, theme‑based activities each day.
The camp will begin with an inauguration ceremony and NSS oath, orienting volunteers to their roles and responsibilities. This will be followed by a series of activities, including a cleaning drive to promote hygiene and environmental responsibility, and a blood donation camp encouraging voluntary donation and awareness about saving lives. Experts will conduct a session on drug addiction, highlighting its physical, psychological and social impact on youth. A health check‑up and awareness camp will provide basic screenings and counselling for participants or nearby community members, while a voter awareness activity will stress the importance of informed electoral participation and active citizenship.
Throughout the week, one‑on‑one interaction and reflection sessions will help volunteers share experiences, discuss community needs and plan future initiatives. The camp is expected to strengthen leadership, teamwork and empathy, nurturing socially responsible NSS volunteers committed to long‑term community engagement.
AIM of the Event:
- To instil the NSS motto “Not Me But You” by engaging volunteers in seven days of structured community service and reflection.
- To develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through active participation in activities such as cleaning drives, blood donation and awareness campaigns.
- To sensitise volunteers and community members about critical social issues, including drug addiction, public health, hygiene and voter responsibility.
- To promote a sense of civic duty and democratic participation through focused voter awareness initiatives.
- To encourage long‑term commitment to community engagement by providing experiential learning and one‑on‑one interaction with beneficiaries and experts.
