Bonjour French Language Essentials - Learn Key Words & Everyday Expressions

The French Language Lecture is being organised to introduce faculty members to the importance and benefits of learning a foreign language in today’s interconnected world. The session aims to provide participants with a basic understanding of the French language, including commonly used words, pronunciation, simple expressions and an overview of French culture.

The main objective of this lecture is to encourage faculty members to explore a new language that can enhance their communication skills, develop cultural awareness and contribute to their personal and professional growth. Learning a foreign language not only improves linguistic abilities but also helps individuals understand different cultures, traditions and perspectives.

French is one of the most widely spoken international languages and has significant importance in areas such as education, research, diplomacy, business and cultural exchange. Knowledge of French can create opportunities for academic collaborations, global networking and interaction with French-speaking communities around the world.

The session also aims to promote a culture of continuous learning and multilingual education within the university. It will motivate faculty members to take interest in foreign language learning and explore further opportunities to develop their language skills.

Through this introductory lecture, participants will become familiar with the basics of French and understand how learning a new language can add value to their teaching practices, professional development and overall learning experience. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to encouraging skill development, global exposure and innovative learning approaches among its faculty members.
