DBUU Khel Utsav 2025–2026 is envisioned as one of the flagship sporting events of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, bringing together students from all schools and departments for nearly two weeks of high‑energy competition and collaboration. Scheduled from 20 January to 31 January 2026, this inter‑departmental annual sports fest will host a wide array of indoor and outdoor games, inspired by the successful Khel Utsav format already practiced at the university.
Throughout the fest, students will compete in sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, chess, and carrom, utilizing the university’s well‑equipped grounds and courts. Each department will field teams and individual participants, creating a vibrant environment of friendly rivalry where students cheer for their contingents and discover new talents among their peers. The event will be coordinated by the Sports Club, physical education staff, and student volunteers, who will manage fixtures, officiating, and discipline to ensure fair play and professional conduct.
DBUU Khel Utsav 2025–2026 is not only about winning medals but also about shaping character and campus culture. By participating in league and knockout matches, students will experience the discipline of training, the thrill of close contests, and the value of resilience in both victory and defeat. Spectators will also play a key role, as their enthusiastic support turns every match into a celebration of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Ultimately, the fest aims to strengthen the bond between departments, promote a healthy lifestyle, and reinforce DBUU’s commitment to holistic education where academics and athletics grow hand in hand
AIM of the Event:
- To promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging regular physical activity, fitness, and sports participation among students.
- To foster teamwork and sportsmanship by providing structured team competitions that build cooperation, respect, and discipline on and off the field.
- To identify and nurture sports talent at the inter‑departmental level so that promising players can be groomed for university and higher‑level tournaments.
- To strengthen inter‑departmental bonding by creating a shared platform where students from diverse programmes interact, compete, and celebrate together through healthy competition.
- To build leadership and organizational skills among student volunteers and captains who take responsibility for planning, coordination, and motivating their teams throughout the fest.
