About the Event
Deeksharambh at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU) is a vibrant student induction and orientation programme designed to provide a warm, meaningful, and memorable beginning to the university journey of newly admitted students. The event serves as a platform to familiarize students with the university’s academic environment, institutional values, facilities, faculty members, student support systems, and diverse opportunities beyond the classroom.
The programme focuses on helping students transition smoothly from school life to higher education while building a strong sense of belonging, confidence, and enthusiasm. Through engaging activities, interactive sessions, cultural performances, motivational interactions, and orientation sessions, students get an opportunity to connect with their peers, faculty members, and the wider university community in an informal and welcoming environment.
A special emphasis is placed on the School of Hotel Management & Tourism, where students are introduced to the exciting and dynamic world of hospitality, tourism, travel, and service industries. The orientation provides learners with an insight into academic programmes, practical training, industry exposure, professional opportunities, internships, skill development, and career pathways available in the hospitality and tourism sector. Students are encouraged to develop essential qualities such as communication, teamwork, creativity, leadership, professionalism, and a service-oriented attitude.
Deeksharambh also highlights the importance of holistic development by introducing students to clubs, sports, cultural activities, innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, industry interaction, and community engagement.
