The School of Architecture Planning and Design is conducting online guest lecture on 19th Aug, 2025.
This session aims to introduce students to the evolving field of product design, covering key concepts such as user-centered design, functionality, aesthetics, innovation, and the design thinking process.
The guest speaker will share real-world experiences, project insights, and best practices in product development—from ideation to prototyping and production. Students will gain valuable exposure to industry workflows, tools, and creative problem-solving techniques.
This interactive session is especially beneficial for students interested in design, innovation, and entrepreneurship, offering a rare opportunity to connect theory with practice through the lens of a professional designer. A Professional’s Take on Product Design" was an engaging and insightful event aimed at unpacking the practical side of design thinking and how it applies to modern product development. Held in a dynamic, interactive format, the event attracted professionals from diverse backgrounds—UX designers, product managers, engineers, and entrepreneurs—all eager to deepen their understanding of human-centered design methodologies. The session was led by an experienced product designer who walked attendees through the five key stages of design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Rather than focusing purely on theory, the speaker shared real-world case studies and challenges faced in the product design process. Attendees gained a clearer picture of how to navigate ambiguity, translate user insights into actionable ideas, and create products that truly solve user problems.AIM of the Event:
· To Introduce Students to the Fundamentals of Product Design Help students understand the principles, processes, and importance of product design in creating functional and user-friendly products.
