Devbhoomi Mahotsav 2026 - कुमाऊं संस्करण

Devbhoomi Mahotsav 2026 - कुमाऊं संस्करण is a grand multidisciplinary and inter departmental cultural celebration dedicated to showcasing the rich heritage, traditions, and sustainable lifestyle of Uttarakhand to a wider national and global audience. Organized by Devbhoomi Uttarakhand University in collaboration with the School of Journalism, Liberal Arts (SoJLA), Agriculture Department, Hotel Management Department, and SURTAAL Club, the Mahotsav aims to create a vibrant platform where tradition meets creativity, learning meets experience, and culture meets livelihood. Rooted in the spirit of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, this Mahotsav highlights the unique identity of the Kumaun region through traditional attire, folk art, paintings, crafts, cuisine, agricultural practices, and sustainable living traditions. The event is designed not only as a cultural exhibition but as an immersive experiential platform where visitors from across Uttarakhand and beyond can see, learn, interact, and experience the living traditions of the region. The Mahotsav will feature traditional fashion shows showcasing Kumaoni attire, art and craft exhibitions by local artisans and students, live demonstrations of traditional painting and craft techniques, authentic regional food stalls, and displays of indigenous agricultural practices and local produce. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe live demonstrations, interact with artisans, and learn traditional skills firsthand, creating a meaningful connection between heritage and modern audiences.
