As the cornerstone of criminal justice, forensic science continues to make unparalleled contributions to investigations and legal proceedings worldwide. Recognizing its vital role, National Forensic Science Week 3.0 will celebrate and amplify the achievements of academic programs, forensic professionals, and cutting-edge scientific research in this ever-evolving field. This annual celebration has become a hallmark in universities offering forensic sciences, and it is our honour to once again uphold this tradition at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University. In light of the resounding success of last year's event, we are thrilled to present the 3.0 version of Forensic Week, aptly named “Evidentia 3.0” This year's event promises to be even more dynamic, engaging, and impactful, building on the foundation laid by previous celebrations.
Target Audience: Our primary audience will include the students from the Department of Forensic Science at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University. We are excited to extend our reach by inviting students from various other universities from across the nation to participate in our competitions with a nominal registration fee of Rs. 1000/-, fostering a spirit of collaboration and healthy competition. Objective: The overarching goal of Forensic Week 3.0 is to deepen awareness and appreciation of forensic science as an interdisciplinary field that plays a crucial role in modern criminal investigations and the administration of justice.
AIM of the Event:
This event aims to achieve the following:
- Enhanced Knowledge Sharing: Through seminars and lectures led by esteemed forensic experts, we aim to delve into the latest advancements, techniques, and challenges across various forensic disciplines.
- Interactive Learning: By hosting competitive sessions featuring investigative competitions , participants will engage in hands-on forensic experiments, present their findings, and hone their presentation skills under expert supervision.
- Field Promotion: We will spotlight the field of forensic science by facilitating legal awareness through brain teaser events and evidence hunt activity.
- Create a platform for students, professionals, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and collaborate: serve as a common ground where budding students, seasoned professionals, researchers, and forensic enthusiasts can interact meaningfully.
- Encourage creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork: Competitions such as CrimeToonist 2.0, Jigsaw Puzzle, Forensic Bingo, and Detective of the Year 2.0 are designed to stimulate creative expression in forensic contexts.
