The Department of Agriculture, School of Agriculture (SoA), Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, organized an Expert Talk on “Bridging Science, Industry and Innovation Ecosystems” on 11th February 2026 at the SoA Building under the aegis of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC) and AG-VENTURE Club. The event was conducted with the objective of sensitizing students and faculty members to the evolving relationship between scientific research, industrial applications, and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.

The expert talk emphasized the need to translate academic research and scientific knowledge into practical, industry-oriented solutions that address real-world challenges, particularly in the agricultural and allied sectors. The session highlighted how innovation ecosystems foster collaboration among universities, industries, start-ups, and policymakers, thereby strengthening sustainable development and economic growth. Special focus was given to emerging trends in agri-innovation, technology commercialization, start-up incubation, and the role of institutions in nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets among students.

The event also aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, reinforcing the importance of building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation. Students actively participated in the interaction session, where they gained insights into career opportunities, innovation pathways, and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Overall, the expert talk served as a platform to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industry expectations, motivating students to engage in innovation-led activities, research translation, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
