Field/Exposure Visit to Tirupati Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. Understanding Tech Transfer & Industrial Ecosystems

The Field/Exposure Visit to Tirupati Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. on the theme “Understanding Tech Transfer & Industrial Ecosystems” was organized to provide students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing and industry operations. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world industrial practices by familiarizing participants with technology transfer processes, production workflows, quality control systems, and regulatory requirements followed in a pharmaceutical company. Students were welcomed by the industry professionals, followed by an introductory briefing about the company profile, product range, and operational structure.

During the visit, participants observed various departments including raw material storage, production units, quality control laboratory, and packaging sections. Experts explained the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), documentation procedures, validation, and quality assurance in maintaining product safety and consistency. Special emphasis was given to the concept of technology transfer, where students learned how formulations developed in research and development are successfully scaled up for commercial manufacturing. The role of standard operating procedures, batch manufacturing records, and process optimization was also discussed in detail.

The exposure visit also highlighted the industrial ecosystem, including coordination between R&D, production, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain management. Students gained insights into equipment handling, process flow, safety measures, and waste management practices followed in pharmaceutical industries. Interactive sessions allowed students to ask questions related to career opportunities, internships, and skills required for working in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Overall, the visit was highly informative and beneficial for students, enhancing their understanding of industrial operations and technology transfer processes. It helped them visualize real-time pharmaceutical production and strengthened their knowledge of industry standards, teamwork, and professional practices. The experience motivated students to develop industry-oriented skills and prepared them for future roles in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing, and quality assurance sectors.
