The School of Law, Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, is organizing the Harela Green Innovation Festival 2026: Celebrating Sustainable Living and Community Innovation to commemorate the traditional festival of Harela, a symbol of environmental conservation, prosperity, and harmony with nature in Uttarakhand. The event aims to foster environmental awareness and inspire students to become responsible citizens by actively contributing to the protection and preservation of the environment.
As part of the festival, the School of Law will conduct a Plantation Drive involving students, faculty members, university staff, and members of the local community. Participants will plant native and indigenous tree species across the campus to enhance green cover, promote biodiversity, and contribute to climate change mitigation. The initiative also encourages participants to take responsibility for the care and maintenance of the planted saplings, reinforcing the values of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
