About the Event
The Healthcare Entrepreneurship Awareness Session is designed to introduce students, faculty members, and aspiring healthcare professionals to the rapidly expanding field of healthcare entrepreneurship. With the increasing demand for innovative, affordable, and patient-centred healthcare services, entrepreneurship has become an essential avenue for addressing healthcare challenges while creating sustainable business opportunities. The session aims to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and entrepreneurial thinking by encouraging participants to view healthcare problems as opportunities for innovation.
The programme will feature expert talks by healthcare entrepreneurs, startup founders, industry professionals, and innovation mentors who will share their entrepreneurial journeys, challenges, and success stories. Participants will gain insights into identifying healthcare problems, validating innovative ideas, developing business models, securing intellectual property rights, accessing startup funding, and leveraging government initiatives such as Startup India and innovation incubation programmes.
Interactive discussions and case studies will highlight opportunities in digital health, telemedicine, medical devices, community healthcare, nursing consultancy, elderly care services, AI-enabled healthcare, and preventive health solutions. The session will also emphasize the importance of ethical entrepreneurship, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and social responsibility in building successful healthcare enterprises.
Organized under the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), this awareness session seeks to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture among future healthcare professionals by motivating them to become innovators, problem-solvers, and job creators rather than job seekers. By fostering creativity, leadership, and innovation, the event will empower participants to contribute to the transformation of the healthcare ecosystem through sustainable entrepreneurial initiatives that improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for communities.
