Kirby Building Systems India (Uttaranchal) Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEBs), strategically located in the SIDCUL Industrial Area of Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Established in 2006 as part of Kirby’s expansion in India, the Haridwar facility is one of the company’s largest and most advanced manufacturing units, catering to diverse industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors across northern India.
Kirby India, a subsidiary of Alghanim Industries, Kuwait, has been a pioneer in the PEB industry since its inception in 1976. The company specializes in designing, fabricating, and supplying pre-engineered steel buildings, providing cost-effective, flexible, and sustainable construction solutions. The Haridwar plant is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, automated fabrication lines, and stringent quality control systems, ensuring precision-engineered structures that meet global standards. As part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SOEC, an industrial visit was organized to Kirby Building Systems India (Uttaranchal) Pvt. Ltd. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to gain insights into the cutting-edge technologies and manufacturing processes behind PEBs. Students had the chance to observe the advanced fabrication techniques, automated systems, and quality assurance practices in action, offering a practical perspective on the theoretical concepts learned in their academic curriculum.
AIM of the Event:
- To observe real-time manufacturing of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEBs) and understand large-scale fabrication workflows.
- To connect theoretical concepts from materials engineering with practical industrial applications.
