International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer

To raise awareness about the importance of the ozone layer in protecting life on Earth, highlight the global efforts under the Montreal Protocol to reduce ozone-depleting substances, and encourage collective responsibility for safeguarding the environment for present and future generations.

Objectives

  1. To create awareness about the role of the ozone layer in protecting life from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
  2. To highlight the success of the Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol in reducing ozone depletion.
  3. To promote eco-friendly practices that minimize the use of ozone-depleting substances.
  4. To motivate individuals, institutions, and communities to take responsibility for protecting the environment.

To inspire youth and future generations to participate in sustainable actions for a healthier planet.Highlights of the event
