On 29 November 2025, DBMCPS, in association with Mpower, organised a dedicated Mental Health Counselling Programme aimed at enhancing emotional well-being and spreading awareness about the importance of mental health within the academic community. The event, conducted from 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM, provided a structured platform for students and staff to engage with trained professionals and discuss mental health concerns openly.
In which 20 students of each school of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University going to participate.
The programme began with an introductory address highlighting the growing need for mental health awareness in educational institutions. Experts from Mpower emphasized the significance of early detection of mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, overthinking, academic pressure, and burnout. Participants were encouraged to understand that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Throughout the session, certified counsellors facilitated a range of activities including group interactions, individual counselling sessions, and awareness discussions. They introduced practical strategies like stress-relief exercises, mindfulness techniques, effective communication skills, and positive thinking practices. Special focus was given to helping students build emotional resilience and maintain a healthy balance between academic responsibilities and personal life.
The atmosphere during the programme was warm, supportive, and confidential, allowing participants to share their challenges comfortably. Mpower counsellors also provided personalized guidance and resources for ongoing mental wellness.
