Healthcare Startup Idea Development

The Mentoring Session on Healthcare Startup Idea Development is an innovation and entrepreneurship-oriented activity organized by the School of Pharmacy & Research (SOPR), Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, under the guidance of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and in association with the Arogya Club. The session is designed to provide students with practical guidance and mentorship for developing innovative ideas into potential healthcare startup concepts.

The session will focus on helping students understand the complete journey from identifying a healthcare problem to developing a feasible and impactful startup solution. Students will be guided in areas such as problem identification, customer needs, solution development, innovation, target beneficiaries, market opportunities, value proposition, business model, and basic commercialization strategies. Special emphasis will be given to pharmaceutical, healthcare, wellness, digital health, medical technology, and other emerging healthcare-related innovations.

Through interactive discussions and mentoring, students will have the opportunity to present their ideas, receive constructive feedback, identify strengths and limitations, and refine their proposed solutions. The session will also encourage students to think beyond conventional academic approaches and develop solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges.

The activity aims to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial skills, confidence, creativity, communication, and decision-making abilities. It will also encourage collaboration between students and mentors and create awareness about available institutional support for innovation and startup development. Overall, the mentoring session will contribute to building a strong culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and healthcare problem-solving among students.
