The Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering and Computing (SOEC), Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU), Dehradun, is going to organize an Online Expert Talk on 17th August 2026 for the students of the university on the topic, “Moving from Source Code to a Business-Ready Prototype.” The objective of this session is to provide participants with an understanding of the transformation of innovative ideas and software solutions into commercially viable products.
The lecture will be delivered by an eminent expert speaker from academia or industry possessing significant experience in technology development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The session may focus on recent trends, practical applications, innovation pathways, and future opportunities in the field. Students will gain insights into key concepts such as design thinking, minimum viable product (MVP) development, prototype validation, intellectual property rights, startup incubation, and business model development.
The expert will also share real-world examples and case studies to illustrate the challenges and opportunities involved in bringing technological solutions to the market. Furthermore, the session aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among aspiring engineers.
