The Department of Computer Science & Engineering is organizing a National Workshop on Apache Kafka Technology from 12th September 2025 to 13th September 2025 at LAB 9, Civil Block, DBUU. This workshop is aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern event streaming and real-time data processing using Apache Kafka, one of the most powerful and widely adopted distributed messaging platforms in today’s industry.
The workshop will deliver a detailed foundation in Kafka architecture, including concepts such as producers, consumers, brokers, topics, partitions, replication, and fault-tolerance mechanisms. By mastering these fundamentals, participants will gain insights into how large-scale organizations manage continuous streams of data, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency. The sessions will further highlight real-world applications of Apache Kafka, including log aggregation, fraud detection, IoT device communication, financial transaction monitoring, and big data analytics.
In addition to conceptual learning, the workshop places strong emphasis on hands-on training. Participants will actively engage in exercises on how to design, configure, deploy, and maintain Kafka clusters while integrating them with modern tools and frameworks. Sessions will be facilitated by a blend of academic experts and experienced industry professionals, ensuring practical relevance alongside theoretical depth.
This national-level workshop will be highly beneficial for students, researchers, and working professionals aspiring to gain expertise in distributed systems, big data ecosystems, and real-time analytics. By bridging the gap between academia and industry practices, the event aims to cultivate innovation, technical competence, and career readiness in participants.
