One day Hands on Workshop in collaboration with DNA Labs

Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, SoAS in collaboration with DNA Labs is is organizing a one-day hands on on 16th October, 2024. The workshop will cover some experiments of molecular biology including DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, PCR, SDS PAGE, and kit-based experiments in immunology. This workshop is aimed to provide hands on experience to students and deepen their understanding of molecular biology principles.

Highlights of Events:-

Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, School of Allied Sciences, Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University in collaboration with DNA Labs Jhajra, Dehradun is organizing a workshop for Bachelor’s and Master’s students of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Zoology.

• Participants will register for the event
• Students will be divided into groups and will perform experiments
• Experiments in Molecular biology and immunology will be performed
• DNA extraction, SDS PAGE and other molecular biology techniques would help the students in their future research endeavors.
• Content delivery and experiments will be demonstrated by Dr. Ankita, Mr . Vivek Kumar and Mr. Shashi Bhushan Kumar

AIM of the Event:

• Students can understand basic principles of molecular biology and immunology
• Perform experiments related to molecular biology and immunology which might help them in their future research endeavors.
