DENTAL CAMP (WORLD HEALTH DAY)

Oral health is an essential component of overall health, yet many individuals lack adequate awareness and access to basic dental care services. To address this issue, we propose organizing a Dental Camp on 7/04/2026 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University. The camp will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vanshika Sahni (BDS, MHA), who will serve as the resource person.

The main aim of this dental camp is to provide free dental check-ups, basic treatment, and oral health education to the students and faculty members of the university. The key objectives of the camp include providing free dental screening and consultation, creating awareness about proper oral hygiene practices, identifying common dental problems such as dental caries and gum diseases, guiding patients for further treatment when required, and promoting preventive dental care among the community.

The services offered during the camp will include oral examination, dental consultation, oral hygiene instructions, and distribution of essential medicines. Through these services, participants will gain a better understanding of their oral health status and the importance of maintaining proper dental hygiene.

The expected outcomes of this initiative include early detection of dental problems, increased awareness regarding oral hygiene practices, reduction in the prevalence of dental diseases, and overall improvement in community health.

This proposed Dental Health Camp will act as an effective platform for community outreach, preventive healthcare delivery, and experiential learning for students.
