Raising capital & Finance Management for Agricultural Start-ups.

The Department of Agriculture under the AG-VENTURE Club and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) is organizing an expert session on “Raising Capital & Finance Management for Agricultural Start-ups” on 12th May 2026 at the SoA Building. The programme is designed to provide students and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical knowledge regarding financial planning, investment opportunities, and capital acquisition strategies essential for establishing and sustaining agricultural start-ups.

In today’s rapidly evolving agricultural ecosystem, innovative start-ups require efficient financial management and access to funding sources for long-term success. This session aims to familiarize participants with various funding opportunities such as government schemes, venture capital, angel investment, bank loans, incubator support, and agri-business financing models. The workshop will also highlight the importance of budgeting, financial risk assessment, cash flow management, and investment planning in entrepreneurial ventures.

The event will serve as an interactive platform where participants can understand the real-world financial challenges faced by agricultural entrepreneurs and learn effective strategies to overcome them. Through expert guidance and practical insights, students will gain exposure to startup funding ecosystems and financial decision-making processes.

The session aligns with the objectives of promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agricultural development while encouraging students to transform innovative ideas into successful business ventures. The event will further contribute to strengthening entrepreneurial culture among students and support the vision of self-reliant and innovation-driven agriculture.
