The Literary Club activity titled “Sahityik Sangam” was organized as a two-day event by the School of Journalism and Liberal Arts, Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The event aimed to promote literary creativity, effective communication skills, and holistic personality development among students. Conducted on 12–13 February 2026 at the SOMC Seminar Hall, the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students belonging to various academic disciplines of the university.The event commenced with a guest lecture on the theme “From Classroom to Boardroom: Building Communication Skills for the Professional World”. The session provided valuable insights into professional communication, confidence building, leadership skills, and career preparedness, thereby bridging the gap between academic learning and professional expectations.The lecture was followed by a series of interactive and student-centric activities such as Open Mic sessions, which included poetry recitation, storytelling, and literary readings. A Portrait Making Competition based on famous literary writers encouraged artistic interpretation, while the Character Parade allowed students to enact well-known literary characters through dialogues and performances.Overall, Sahityik Sangam served as a vibrant platform for creative expression, critical thinking, and collaborative learning, significantly contributing to the enrichment of the university’s literary culture. Sahityik sangam is a major event.
