Shree in Shades: A Monochrome Painting Contest

The School of Architecture Planning and Design is organizing a painting contest on 28th August 2025, starting at 11:00 am. The event is centered around celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in a unique, artistic way. Unlike the usual vibrant celebrations, this contest focuses on using only one color to express creativity. The goal is to highlight how a single shade can still communicate depth, emotion, and symbolism. Participants are encouraged to think beyond traditional color schemes and explore minimalism in their art. This approach challenges students to use form, imagination, and technique to bring Lord Ganesha to life through a monochromatic palette. It not only promotes artistic innovation but also reflects the cultural and spiritual essence of the festival. The contest offers an opportunity for students to enhance their skills, gain recognition, and creatively celebrate a culturally significant event in a contemporary, thought-provoking manner. Through this initiative, students will not only enhance their artistic skills and design sensibilities but also engage with cultural and spiritual themes in a creative, contemporary way.
