The Department of Chemistry proposes to organize a workshop under the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) titled “Skill Development Workshop on Analytical and Instrumentation Techniques” The session will be conducted by Dr. Raj Kumar Singh, Sr. Principal Scientist & Head of Area & Professor (AcSIR), an eminent Scientist IIP, Dehradun, who specializes in advance and analytical technique. This workshop represents a significant area of interdisciplinary research, bridging chemistry, botany, industrial processes, and entrepreneurship. This workshop is designed to provide comprehensive training in modern analytical methods and the operation of scientific instruments widely used in chemistry, forensic science, environmental analysis, and related disciplines. It emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical skill development to bridge the gap between academic learning and laboratory application.Content of the Event:
- Understand the fundamentals of essential oil chemistry and extraction.
- Gain awareness of career avenues in research institutions (IIP, FRI, CSIR, DRDO), industrial chemistry sectors, and government services.

- To familiarize participants with standard laboratory practices, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- To introduce recent advancements and applications of analytical instrumentation in research, industry, and forensic science.
