Sustainable Living for a Greener Future

Sustainable Living for a Greener FutureNational Pollution Control Day will be observed on 2nd December with the objective of promoting awareness about pollution, its harmful consequences, and the importance of adopting sustainable practices for a healthier planet. In accordance with the 2025 theme, “Sustainable Living for a Greener Future,” the Department will organize an Awareness Rally that will educate students and the local community on pollution control, waste reduction, and eco-friendly living. The rally will aim to sensitize participants about different forms of pollution—air, water, soil, and noise—and will encourage them to adopt behavioral changes that will contribute to environmental conservation.

Through this initiative, students will be motivated to take active responsibility in protecting the environment and influencing the community towards sustainable choices. The primary objectives of the event will include spreading awareness about rising pollution levels and their effects on human health and ecosystems. The rally will also promote sustainable living practices such as waste segregation, reduced plastic usage, energy conservation, and responsible consumption patterns. Students will be actively engaged through interactive participation, and the community will be encouraged to join hands in pollution control initiatives.

The event will also highlight the importance of National Pollution Control Day and honor the victims of industrial disasters, especially the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.Several activities will be conducted during the event. An Awareness Rally will move within and around the campus area, where students will display banners, placards, and posters carrying powerful messages related to pollution control and sustainability. An eco-pledge will be taken by students and faculty to reaffirm their commitment toward environmental protection.

The event will involve around 150 students from various departments along with faculty members. The expected outcomes will include improved awareness regarding pollution control, increased understanding of sustainable practices, enhanced student participation in environmental initiatives, and strengthened institutional commitment toward sustainability and green development.
