Workshop on Creative Thinking
About the Event
The Workshop on Creative Thinking was organized to encourage students to develop innovative ideas, improve problem-solving abilities, and explore new approaches to academic and professional challenges. The workshop focused on developing the ability to think beyond conventional methods and apply creativity effectively in real-world situations.
The session introduced participants to the fundamental concepts of creative thinking, including observation, imagination, brainstorming, lateral thinking, idea generation, experimentation, and problem-solving. Students were encouraged to look at familiar situations from different perspectives and develop multiple solutions instead of relying on a single conventional approach.
The workshop included a combination of interactive discussions, brainstorming activities, individual exercises, group activities, and creative problem-solving tasks. Participants worked on practical challenges that required them to generate, evaluate, and refine ideas. Special emphasis was placed on teamwork, communication, adaptability, and the ability to convert creative concepts into practical solutions.
Students from creative disciplines such as Animation, VFX, Gaming, Multimedia, and Design benefited particularly from the activities, as creative thinking is an essential skill in developing visual concepts, stories, characters, game ideas, animations, and digital content. The activities also helped students understand how creativity can be strengthened through continuous practice, observation, experimentation, and openness to new ideas.
The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to express their ideas confidently and appreciate diverse perspectives. It also helped them understand that creativity is not limited to artistic activities but is an important skill for innovation, decision-making, entrepreneurship, research, and professional development.
Overall, the Workshop on Creative Thinking was an engaging and productive learning experience that motivated students to approach challenges with curiosity, originality, and a solution-oriented mindset. The workshop successfully promoted creativity, collaboration, and innovative thinking among the participants.
