From house hold waste to market product with the help of Media
About the Event
The Poster Making Competition titled “From Household Waste to Market Product with the Help of Media” is designed to foster innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial thinking among students by encouraging them to look at everyday household waste from a completely different perspective. The competition will provide students with an opportunity to explore how discarded, unused, or waste materials can be creatively transformed into useful, attractive, and marketable products with the support of media, branding, and effective communication.Through this activity, students will understand that waste is not necessarily useless; rather, with imagination, innovation, appropriate design, and effective presentation, it can be converted into products that have functional, aesthetic, and commercial value. This will encourage students to develop sustainable ideas while also creating awareness about waste reduction, recycling, reuse, and responsible consumption. The activity will further help students recognize the potential of waste management as an opportunity for entrepreneurship and income generation in the future. An important aspect of the competition will be the effective use of media and communication to promote the transformed product or service. Students will be encouraged to think beyond product creation and understand how a good idea can be communicated to potential customers through attractive posters, creative messaging, visual storytelling, branding, slogans, and promotional concepts. This will help them develop basic skills in marketing communication, advertising, product positioning, and audience engagement. The competition will also enhance students’ ability to write a creative brief for a particular product or service. While developing their concepts, students will identify the product, its target audience, unique selling proposition, key message, communication objective, and appropriate promotional approach. This exercise will strengthen their ability to organize ideas and present them in a clear, concise, and creative manner.Overall, the competition will provide a practical platform for students to combine creativity, sustainability, media, communication, and entrepreneurship. It will motivate them to transform simple household waste into innovative market-oriented solutions while developing the confidence and creative skills required to turn ideas into meaningful opportunities.
