World AIDS Day - Theme: Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.

On December 1, 2025, our campus will come together to observe World AIDS Day, a global observance aimed at raising awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. This year's theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” will guide the event as we reflect on the progress made in the fight against AIDS and the challenges still ahead.

The event, organized by the NSS Cell and SoPR (School of Pharmacy & Research), will feature a dynamic lineup of activities, including expert talks, student presentations, interactive sessions, and a heartfelt pledge ceremony. The primary aim of the event is to educate and engage our community about HIV/AIDS, focusing on how it is transmitted and, more importantly, how it can be prevented. We seek to break down the barriers of fear, stigma, and discrimination that often surround HIV by addressing misconceptions and promoting empathy and human rights. Through this, we hope to foster an environment where informed, stigma-free conversations about sexual health and HIV are the norm.By encouraging students to become peer educators, we aspire to build a campus culture that supports safe practices, inclusive language, and the well-being of all members.

Ultimately, this event is part of our commitment to contributing to the global goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. We invite NSS volunteers, students, and faculty to join us in honoring those who have lost their lives to AIDS, supporting those living with HIV, and advocating for a healthier, more compassionate world.
