World Mental Health Day

The School of Nursing at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University will be organizing an event to observe World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2025, under the theme “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.” This annual observance aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and mobilize efforts toward better mental health support. The event will feature various activities designed to educate and engage students on the importance of mental health. A skit and mime act will be performed to highlight the significance of recognizing stress, burnout, and mental health challenges, emphasizing the importance of self-care.

The event will also showcase available support systems such as counseling services, peer support groups, and wellness programs that can aid in mental well-being. Students will be encouraged to prioritize self-care strategies through workshops focused on stress management, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques. These workshops aim to equip students with practical skills to handle their mental health challenges effectively.

Additionally, the event will foster a sense of community by creating a safe space where students can share their experiences and coping strategies. Fun and engaging activities like poster making, stone art, mind games, and cultural performances will be organized to promote mental well-being in a light-hearted yet impactful manner. Guest speakers, including mental health professionals, will be invited to speak on topics related to mental health and offer valuable insights on managing mental health in both personal and professional settings.
