The Institution proudly observed World Patient Safety Day, dedicated to raising awareness and promoting actions that ensure safe healthcare practices for all.Department of BMRIT is going to celebrate World Patient Safety Day on the Theme of Safe Care of Every Newborn and Every Child.Dr Rohit  Gondwal Consultant Psychiatrist presently working at the State Mental Health Institute, Selakui, Dehradun is invited for guest lecture The event served as a reminder of the global priority to minimize risks, prevent harm, and strengthen the culture of safety in healthcare systems. The program began with a keynote address by faculty experts highlighting the theme of the year, emphasizing the importance of patient-centered care, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols. Students and participants were informed about the significance of patient safety as a critical component of healthcare delivery and the shared responsibility of healthcare professionals in reducing medical errors. interactive sessions and poster presentations provided a platform for students to showcase innovative ideas on improving safety measures in hospitals, clinics, and paramedical practices. Real-life case discussions and role play further illustrated how teamwork, vigilance, and continuous learning contribute to safer patient care. The event also focused on developing awareness among budding healthcare professionals regarding global patient safety goals, ethical responsibilities, and practical approaches to prevent avoidable harm. Faculty mentors encouraged students to adopt safety-first practices in their future professional journeys. The program concluded with a pledge ceremony where participants committed to upholding the principles of patient safety in their learning and professional careers. The event was both educational and inspiring, reinforcing the belief that every patient deserves safe healthcare, and every healthcare provider holds the responsibility to deliver it.
