World Tuberculosis Day on 24 th March 2025

This is to inform you that the Department of Miicrobiology & Biotechnology wishes to organize a poster/ power point presentation competition on “World Tuberculosis Day” for the students of Microbiologyy & Biotechnology.
The aim is to raise the awareness about tuberculosis, its impact on global health, and the efforts needed to eliminate the disease. The event is also aimed to encourage active participation of the students.
I therefore, request you to kindly permit us to organize World Tuberculosis Day on 24 th March 2025.

Course Name: Students of Microbiology & Biotechnology

AIM of the Event:

• Raise Awareness: Educate the global population about tuberculosis (TB), its symptoms, transmission, and the importance of seeking early treatment.
• Promote Early Detection and Treatment: Encourage timely diagnosis and proper treatment to prevent the spread of TB and reduce related deaths.
• Raise Awareness: About Dental Diseases such as cavities, gum disease (gingivitis and periodontitis), and bad breath.
• Call for Increased Investment: Urge governments and organizations to allocate more resources toward TB research, prevention, and treatment programs.
• Encourage Global Action: Mobilize communities, policymakers, and health professionals to take stronger actions in achieving the goal of eliminating TB by 2030.
