The Department of Agriculture under the AG-VENTURE Club is organizing World Wildlife Day (Quiz and Poster Presentation) to mark the global celebration of World Wildlife Day, observed annually on 3rd March. The event is designed to raise awareness among students about the importance of wildlife conservation, biodiversity protection, and the sustainable use of natural resources. Wildlife plays a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance, supporting pollination, preserving soil health, and ensuring the stability of food systems, which are directly linked to agriculture.
The celebration will feature two major activities: a Quiz Competition and a Poster Presentation. The quiz competition will test participants’ knowledge of biodiversity, endangered species, wildlife protection laws, conservation initiatives, national parks, and current environmental issues. It aims to enhance awareness, improve general knowledge, and encourage students to stay informed about global and national efforts toward environmental sustainability.
The poster presentation will provide a creative platform for students to visually communicate their ideas and solutions related to wildlife conservation. Themes may include habitat preservation, climate change impacts on wildlife, human-wildlife conflict, sustainable agricultural practices, and ecosystem restoration. This activity will foster creativity, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving skills among participants.
Through this event, students will gain a deeper understanding of the interdependence between agriculture and wildlife. Promoting sustainable agricultural practices is essential for conserving biodiversity and protecting natural ecosystems. The program seeks to instill a sense of environmental responsibility and inspire students to actively contribute toward building a more sustainable and wildlife-friendly future.
