About Event

To broaden the horizon of learning through wisdom filled educational trips, Department of Forestry, School of Allied Sciences, is organizing an educational visit on 8th May, 2024 to Lachiwala Nature Park, Dehradun. The Nature Park renowned for its biodiversity and conservation efforts, presents an invaluable learning opportunity for our students. The immersive experience of studying natural landscapes and conservation strategies in situ aligns seamlessly with our academic objectives in forestry education. The students of both Forestry have a trip to in their curriculum hence this visit is planned. The visit will facilitate knowledge and deeper conceptual understanding by enhancing students' sensory literacy. It will facilitate experiential learning by engaging students in guided tours, educational sessions, and fieldwork conducted by park authorities or experts. It will foster a sense of environmental stewardship and responsibility among students, emphasizing the importance of conservation efforts in Preservtion of natural ecosystem.

Highlights of Events:

Students will gain deep knowledge about natural park, biodiversity landscapes, conservation park and sustainable forestry practices. They will have experiential learning in guided tours, fieldwork conducted by park authorities or experts.

AIM of the Event:

1. Provide students with firsthand exposure to diverse natural ecosystems and forest conservation practices.
