Drishyakavyam

Where creativity and culture collide, Drishyakavyam is a unique and colourful celebration of lyrical and visual expression. The event, which takes its name from the Sanskrit terms & Drishya & (visual) and & Kavyam (poetry), masterfully combines many artistic mediums to create a setting where stories are not only read or heard but also seen and experienced. Drishyakavyam is a venue for budding artists, poets, and performers to share their interpretations of life, emotions, society, and imagination using a variety of mediums. It was organised with the goal of fostering artistic potential and self-expression.

The festival offers a variety of activities, such as performance art, short film screenings, poetry recitations, visual storytelling, painting exhibitions, and photography. It asks participants to share their works of art that tell a tale or express an emotion, paired with spoken or written poetry that enhances the visual medium. This fusion of literary profundity and visual creativity creates a multimodal experience for the audience, making the event both emotionally and intellectually compelling.

In addition to showcasing individual inventiveness, Drishyakavyam encourages teamwork among poets and painters who work together to realise a common goal. It acts as a reminder that in the fast-paced world of today, literature and the arts are ageless means of expression, introspection, and connection.
