About Event-
National Farmers’ Day is observed to honor and acknowledge the contribution of farmers in our lives. The day is also celebrated to mark the birth anniversary Shri Choudhary Charan Singh, the fifth Prime Minister of India. The first Kisan Divas was celebrated in the year 2001.
Farmers work around the clock and year-round to guarantee people do not starve to death or die of hunger, yet they struggle to consume at least two square meals every day. Every year, Farmer’s Day is observed to raise awareness of and thank farmers for their contributions to society.
Special Lecture is organized on the occasion of National Farmer’s Day on Climate Smart Agriculture” to know the importance of changing climate and its effect on farming pattern. The lecture will help to acknowledge recent development and technologies in field of agriculture leading a positive impact on production and economy of a farmer.
