Educational Visit to Forest Research Institute, Dehradun

About Event- 

To broaden the horizon of learning through wisdom filled educational trips, Department of Forestry, School of Allied Sciences is organizing an educational visit on 11 December, 2023 to Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. The students have a trip to in their curriculum hence this visit is planned. The visit will facilitate knowledge and deeper conceptual understanding by enhancing students’ sensory literacy. It will help them to study the evolutionary significance of particular flora and fauna. Representative fauna of the region, pictorials and habitat cases/models are in display at the museum of the centre, for generating awareness towards biodiversity conservation. The centre is equipped with high resolution microscopes with differential interference contrast. There are a variety of exhibits that will cover a lot of different topics. Educational displays that will teach about different representative fauna.

Highlights- Students will gain deep knowledge about Forestry and wildlife management. They will learn to restore and sustain Forest

  • Students have historical museum visit in their practical curriculum.

  • Students will get enhance knowledge about India’s wildlife, distribution of wildlife, protected areas.
