“Free Woman Health Camp” Theme: Empower, Support, Survive: Breast Cancer Awareness

About Event- 

Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (School of Nursing in collaboration with Can Protect Foundation) will be celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness an annual global health campaign on 31 st October 2023. Its primary goal is to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage early detection through regular screenings, and promote education and support for individuals affected by the disease. The campaign features the iconic pink
ribbon as a symbol of solidarity and support for breast cancer survivors and those currently battling the disease.

Content of the Event- School of Nursing in collaboration with the Can Protect Foundation is organizing a breast awareness campaign, that aims to educate and support breast cancer-related initiatives. The desired outcomes
include increased awareness, early detection, and improved support for those affected, ultimately reducing the impact of breast cancer in communities.PUBLICITY MESSAGE: “Together, we can empower survivors, remember loved ones, and fight for a future free from breast cancer. Get involved now! #KnowYourRisk”

  • Prevention: Highlight lifestyle choices and habits that can reduce the risk of developing breast cancer, such as maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regimen and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
