We are organizing a one-day Pottery Workshop on 13-09-
2024 to foster creativity and help students develop their
artistic abilities.
The workshop shall be focusing on Encouraging students to express their creativity and individuality through their pottery creations. During the event, trained instructors with expertise in pottery will supervise the hands-on activities.
Content of the Event:
- Learn about the different types of clay used in pottery, their properties, and how to prepare clay for use.
- Explore hand-building techniques to create various forms like bowls, mugs, or sculptures.
- Learn about glazes, their composition, and how to apply them to pottery to achieve different colors, finishes, and effects.
- Participants will learn how clay behaves under pressure, how it responds to water, and how firing transforms it into a durable ceramic.

AIM of the Event:
- Guided sessions will be conducted, where students will
have the opportunity to create their own pottery pieces under the supervision of experienced instructor. - To provide a unique outlet for self-expression and encourages students to think outside the box.
- It will allow individuals to express themselves creatively. It encourages exploration of different techniques, shapes, and designs.
- Working with clay involves precise hand movements and coordination, which can improve fine motor skills and dexterity.
- Engaging in pottery workshops connects participants to
the heritage, fostering an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship and the evolution of ceramic art over time.
