Dr. Neelima Gupta | Professor | Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur | She presently holds positions of the Hony Director, PG School of Physical Sciences and Course-Coordinator for Computer Assisted Drug Design at Design Innovation Centre, University of Rajasthan. Her Research interests include Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Heterocyclic Chemistry, Physical Organic Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Molecular modelling and Drug design. She has served Chemical Research Society of India, Bengaluru as Council member (2014-17, 2017-20) and is presently Secretary in the Governing Council (2020-23, 2023-26). Prof. Gupta is founding Convener of the Jaipur Chapter of Society for Materials Chemistry, Mumbai and Rajasthan Chapter of Chemical Research Society of India and is actively engaged in Outreach activities to popularize Chemistry Education and is a resource person for Refreser courses, FDPs and workshops for faculty and research scholars. She has more than 80 Research Publications in International Journals, several Chapters in International Reference Series and one Indian Patent to her credit. 16 students have obtained PhD under her guidance. She has worked as Postdoc Fellow at the EMA University, Germany prior to joining the University of Rajasthan as faculty and later was visiting scientist to the Phillips University of Marburg, Germany under Indo-German cooperation program. She has completed several research projects including Young Scientist Project awarded by DST, New Delhi. She has organised many national and international conferences, seminars, workshops and has delivered more than 50 Plenary and invited lectures in International/national Conferences and Workshops in India and Abroad. Dr. Gupta is recipient of many Awards and Honours including the “ Distinguished Women Scientist Award-2019 ” from the Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists. |
