World Microorganism Day- Painting and microbial portfolio designing Competition

Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, SoAS is organizing an event on World Microorganisms Day on 17 th September, 2024. The event will include a painting competition and microbial portfolio designing competition, mainly focused on understanding microbial life and its significance in different sphere of human life. Students will be able to gain insights and represent scientific advancements in the field throughcolours and creativity.

'Diving into microbial World'

*Guidelines:*

Participants will be invited to create artworks based on the following sub-themes:

  • Microorganisms and Human Health (beneficial bacteria, disease-causing microbes)
  • Microorganisms in the Environment (decomposition, nutrient cycles, pollution remediation)
  • Microorganisms in Biotechnology (biofuels, fermentation, industrial microbiology)
  • The Artistic Side of Microbes (explore microbial shapes, colonies, and patterns)

The best three paintings and microbial portfolios will be given certificates.
