Green Plates, Great Tastes- Celebrating National Vegetarian Day

The School of Agriculture (SOA) at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University is organizing an event titled "Green Plates, Great Tastes: Celebrating National Vegetarian Day" on 4th October 2024, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the SOA building. The event, hosted under the Ag-Venture Club, will feature a debate and poster-making competition, both aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of vegetarianism and sustainable diets. Debate topics include questions such as the nutritional completeness of plant-based diets and their role in public health, while the poster competition will focus on themes like eco-friendly eating and sustainable living. The event will be coordinated by Ms. Paratikshya Khadka, Mrs. Prerna Gupta, and Dr. Suraj Luthra, with students from the School of Agriculture and Forestry participating. Through these activities, the event seeks to promote healthier, greener, and more sustainable food choices.
