World Pulses Day

World Pulses Day will be celebrated on February 10, organizing a Pulse Art Craft activity and a Quiz Competition can be an engaging way to promote awareness about the nutritional, agricultural, and environmental benefits of pulses. Participants will create artistic designs using pulses (e.g., landscapes, animals, cultural symbols, or pulse-related themes). The best artworks will be displayed at the venue and/or shared on social media.

  • Promote Awareness about Pulses – Educate participants on the nutritional, environmental, and economic benefits of pulses, emphasizing their role in sustainable agriculture and food security.
  • Encourage Creativity & Engagement – Foster creativity through the Pulse Art Craft activity, allowing participants to explore innovative ways of representing pulses using natural materials.
  • Enhance Knowledge through Learning & Competition – Provide an interactive learning experience with the qui competition, helping participants understand the significance of pulses in nutrition, climate resilience, and soil health.
  • Foster Community Participation – Bring together students, faculty, and local community members in a fun and engaging way to celebrate pulses and sustainable food practices.
  • Inspire Sustainable Practices – Motivate participants to incorporate pulses into their diets, promote pulse cultivation,  DBUU Event File Format Ver. 1.0 (Effective from January 2022) and support sustainable farming initiatives
