AI-Driven Innovative Physiotherapy Approaches in Cerebral Palsy: From Movement and Function to Participation and Inclusion

About the Event

The aim of the workshop on “Innovative Approaches to Cerebral Palsy Care, Rehabilitation and Inclusion” is to enhance awareness, knowledge, and practical understanding of modern and evidence-based approaches to the assessment, management, rehabilitation, and inclusion of individuals with cerebral palsy. The workshop seeks to provide participants with updated information on innovative strategies that can address the diverse functional needs and challenges experienced by individuals with cerebral palsy across different stages of life.

The workshop aims to emphasize a person-centred and holistic approach to care, recognizing the individual abilities, goals, preferences, and needs of each person. It will focus on the importance of early intervention, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, functional training, communication, mobility, participation, and independence. The workshop also aims to introduce participants to emerging rehabilitation techniques, assistive technologies, adaptive equipment, and creative therapeutic approaches that can support functional outcomes and improve quality of life.

Another important aim is to strengthen collaboration among physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, doctors, psychologists, educators, caregivers, and families. Effective teamwork and coordinated care can help address the physical, communication, cognitive, emotional, educational, and social needs of individuals with cerebral palsy.

The workshop also aims to promote inclusion and equal participation by increasing awareness of environmental, social, educational, and attitudinal barriers. It encourages participants to develop strategies that facilitate accessibility, independence, education, employment, recreation, and meaningful participation in community life.

Ultimately, the workshop aims to empower professionals, caregivers, and stakeholders with practical knowledge and innovative ideas that can be applied in clinical and community settings. It seeks to encourage continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and collaborative practice to ensure that individuals with cerebral palsy receive comprehensive and appropriate support. Through innovation, teamwork, and inclusive practices, the workshop aims to contribute towards improved function, independence, participation, dignity, and overall quality of life for individuals with cerebral palsy.
